Intruder Alarms

Hereford Security Services intruder alarm systems are professionally designed and installed to suit your lifestyle. Multiple codes let you control who can enter your property and control your security system. If you have pets and want to give them freedom to certain areas, this can be built into the design of the intruder alarm system.

Alarm Belle Bell Box External Sounder

The external sounder is no doubt the most visible and audible component of your security system. It is therefore essential that your sounder is capable of attracting attention should you have alarm activations. The Belle for example provides both a visible and audible deterrent. When activated the Belle has a panoramic strobe effect which totally illuminates the full casing of the bellbox. At the same time a siren output of 118 decibels at 1 metre can be heard. (The siren will cut off after 15 minutes in line with European Legislation). Stringent tamper features ensure that any sabotage attempts such as removing the lid, pulling the belle from the wall, or cutting the power supply, will result in an alarm activation (the siren will activate independent of the control panel in a tamper situation). The Belle comes complete with a back up battery so that even in the event of a power cut to the belle you can rest assured that the sounder is still operating and protecting your property.

Alarm Control Panels

The Control Panel is the heart of your system so we will decide on one that has all the options you currently require and then allow a little extra capacity just in case you decide to up-grade later on (for instance if you currently only require 5 zones, consider an 8-16 zone panel, at least if you decide on extra detectors you will have the extra capacity).

All control panels have the following main features:

- External sounder connections -
- Internal sounder connections - Control Panels with an on-board keypad have an inbuilt internal sounder, and most blank end stations do; the remote keypad has an internal low-level sounder.

PIRs

The PIR Sensor detects motion up to 20 feet or more away by using a lens and infrared-sensitive element to detect changing patterns of passive infrared emitted by objects in its vicinity. Inexpensive and easy to use, it's ideal for security alarm systems.

They are available in quad, dual-tec, pet immune, and other choices to suit the application required.

Break Glass

This detector works by detecting frequency levels through a 2 stage process; the break glass 2000 for example will pick up the high frequency "shatter" of glass and then recalls the initial low frequency flex of the glass.

Contacts

Contacts are available in various types to suit the application of protection required.

Surface Contact

These surface contacts are normally used as door or window contacts, they have a contact operating gap of 20mm and fixing screws are provided.

Roller Shutter / Garage Door Contacts

These robust heavy duty roller shutter door contacts can be fitted to up and over garage doors as well as roller shutter doors. the contacts are manufactured from die cast aluminium and have a contact operating gap of 50mm. The wiring is protected by a flexible stainless steel sleeve and therefore, a 6 way junction box should be used to connect the contact to the alarm circuits.

Speed Fit Flush Contacts

With a circular facia plate these flush contacts are normally used on doors, they are designed to give a neat finish whilst avoiding lengthy installation time. The contact-operating gap is 20mm and a 20mm hole is required in the door for the body of the contact. The facia plate is 28mm and can also be sunk in, to give a completely flush finish.

Panic Attacks

Our Personal Attack Alarm is a stand-alone system designed to provide cost effective peace of mind for you and your family in your home or business. The system is used if you feel threatened or are attacked by an intruder or stranger in your home or business.
The Personal Attack Alarm is a fully accredited system, which will be installed in your home by an engineer; the system will be installed strategically. The system is low profile, discreet and unobtrusive.

Your Intruder Alarm system can either be wired or wireless and can be monitored in a number of ways, such as:

Speech Dialler

This is the most basic form of monitoring if you're alarm is activated. The speech dialler has the ability to dial up to 4 telephone numbers upon an alarm activation including mobile numbers, which enables you, a relative or neighbour to be informed immediately of an intrusion so that the appropriate action may be taken. The telephone line is not monitored so if the phone line is cut or damaged then no signals can be sent.

GSM Dialler (Text Message Sender)

The GSM alarm unit sends you or a colleague a text message when an alarm occurs without the need for a landline or an expensive monitoring contract. Configured using text messages, no PC needed, no need to remove the SIM locally either, you can be anywhere in the world to configure your GSM Dialler. Full user security using calling line identity number. This unit will send up to six texts and can call any phone number when an input is triggered. This unit is British designed and manufactured.

Digicom Monitoring

This is when our central station or monitoring station is notified of your alarm systems daily usage. The telephone line is not monitored so if the phone line is cut or damaged then no signals can be sent. The phone line will be NOT be monitored.

Dual Com Monitoring

DualCom is officially recognised as the original and most widely used dual-signalling dev ice in the UK. Its reputation as an advanced, reliable and cost effective signalling device has led to nationwide installations in supermarket chains, high street stores, banks and other vulnerable premises. DualCom is compatible with any cable telephone network.

RedCare

As per the DigiCom except the phone line is monitored 24hrs a day. This service provides continuous monitoring of a BT telephone line that links a professionally installed alarm system on customers premises to an Alarm Receiving Centre. The result is continuous protection of our customer's property, every second of the day, 365 days a year. You would be notified of any possible phone line faults, which may indicate the cutting of the phone lines.

RedCare GSM

As per standard RedCare, with the added bonus of continued coverage via the GSM phone network should the normal phone line develop a fault.

RedCare GSM combines a secure RedCare landline connection with a GSM Radio backup path. In the event of a line cut it enables alarm systems to be monitored by the radio path. If the BT Landline fails, The ARC will receive a communication failure message. The GSM path will continue to communicate with the alarm-receiving centre, sending any subsequent alarms.
